Ovo izvješ e Centra za kontrolu otrovanja Instituta za medicinska istraživanja i medicinu rada nastavak je izvješ a objavljenih u prethodnim brojevima ovog asopisa (Varnai VM et al. Arh Hig Rada Toksikol 2006;57(2):245-249, Macan J et al. Arh Hig Rada Toksikol 2006;57(3):359-363). U izvješ u koje slijedi navode se osnovni statisti ki podaci o broju poziva primljenih u Centru za kontrolu otrovanja tijekom tromjese nog razdoblja od svibnja do srpnja 2006. godine, uklju uju i podatke o tražiteljima informacija, kao i podatke o bolesnicima i osobinama otrovanja. Tijekom navedenog razdoblja u Centru je zabilježeno 407 poziva kojima su se tražile informacije o 413 slu aja. U ve ini slu ajeva (94 % od ukupnog broja poziva) tražitelji informacija bili su zdravstveni radnici (lije nici i medicinske sestre), a tek u 6 % slu ajeva privatne osobe. U dva slu aja poziv se odnosio na otrovanje odnosno izloženost otrovnoj tvari u životinja: ingestija pesticida metaldehida u psa pra ena blažim simptomima i mogu a izloženost pesticidu atrazinu u krava. Prosje na dob bolesnika bila je 17,5 godina (medijan 6 godina), u rasponu od 7 dana života do 89 godina, a najzastupljenije dobne skupine bile su mala djeca – dojen ad i predškolska djeca (od ro enja do uklju ivo pete godine života; 38 % od ukupnog broja bolesnika) te odrasle osobe (40 % od ukupnog broja Varnai V, et al.
